Ilana Rubin Events — Michaela & Connor | Terranea Resort

Have you ever just met somebody for the first time and went “wow, that is a genuinely GOOD human”. Like their aura is glowing with positivity despite any hardships they have had to endure in life. Well that was our bride Michaela. A seriously strong, stunning, and incredible human being. As soon as I met her and Connor, learned about them, I was like WOW I have to be a part of this journey and give them the wedding of their dreams. Totally adored them since day one.

We booked the stunning Terranea Resort after Connor fell in love with the ceremony views. A cliffside, oceanfront location with spectacular views of Catalina Island. Side note - Terranea Resort is one of our preferred properties and we LOVE working there!

Having a solid dream team of vendors was the next step. I not only needed to make sure we had talented vendors who got along with the couple and each other, but could also stay cool in the presence of a very special guest (you might recognize him in some photos below). Our dream team definitely executed everything to perfection and it was a STUNNING wedding. From a full lush arch, soft draping to transform the reception, to stunning bridesmaids in long black gowns. Everything was classy, black tie appropriate, and left guests speechless.

I swear we get so lucky to be a part of the planning journey with so many incredible couples that sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if I am dreaming.
