Kylie & John | Pelican Hill Wedding | Newport Beach California

What do you get with a neutral palette, coastal views, and an absolutely stunning couple? You get the most stunning luscious wedding at Pelican Hill Resort. Kylie and John’s day was filled with so many heartfelt personal touches, loved ones, and gorgeous details. Not to mention a stellar dream team of vendors.

Our insanely beautiful bride Kylie rocked our favorite gown designer Galia Lahav with a detachable skirt that she showed off during the ceremony. Giving this picture perfect gown a convertible look from day to night. The gown had so much detail from lace to touches of shimmer. Hands down one of our favorite gowns to date!

We had to capture Kylie’s romantic glam gown in the ceremony site. Incorporating the tall, full, centerpieces that would be used at the reception down the aisle and covering the iconic rotunda with natural growing greenery in conjunction with pops of blooms. Petals lined the aisle and a giant gold empress chandelier became the focal point. Tying in all the romantic feels and glamorous touches of Kylie’s gown, while still encompassing the beauty of the property.

Once the ceremony concluded, guests were welcomed to cocktail hour. Where they dined on tray passed and stationed hors d'oeuvres. The bride and groom personally hand wrote heartfelt notes to each and every one of their guests which dueled as the guests’ escort cards to guide them to their seats. As cocktail hour came to a close the coastline glistened off the most beautiful sunset.

Design wise the reception space turned out dreamy. We wanted to elevate the natural and neutral feel of the ballroom by bringing in the glamorous style of our chic couple and brightening the space. By doing so we made sure to keep light toned floral, linens, and a white dance floor. The clear chiavari chairs from Illuminate Event Services were the perfect neutralizer for the space and kept everything cohesive.

Pro Tip* If you want to still have a stunning view and save a little on costs, consider just piping and draping the necessary points in your ballroom space. For example; we only piped and draped the back wall of this wedding in order to hide the wall art, soften the only main wall space, but still show off that iconic view. Since the walls were more of a nude color we want for a draping color similar to the wall so it all blended appropriately together.

Congratulations to newly weds Kylie and John! Such a beautiful couple who truly care about the loved ones in their lives. Their wedding showed their appreciation for everyone surrounding them and really the love they have for one another. CHEERS!
